We have started reading the novel Flat Stanley.

When we finish it, we will be sending our own flat people around the world to they can have an adventure. Visit the website to find more about this project. www.flatstanley.com
Creative people have done amazing things with little Stanley. I will ask the students to choose a place close to home that they would like to visit. They will send an email requests to people listed as participants. Once they have received a response, we will mail their own Stanley to his/her destination. If you would like to register online, you will be able to search the list at home. (I don't think you can search unless you register. It is all free) We will send the Stanleys out a few more times once they return. The next time we will try sending them a little further away. (The further we travel, the harder it is to get them back.) If you know of someone who is travelling to an interesting or far away place, please ask them if they'd be willing to take a Stanley with them.
