Biography

I graduated from U of L with distinction, the same year my eldest daughter graduated from high school. I am a grandma with 21 grandchildren. My purpose for a career in education is to make learning an exciting adventure for children, so they will desire to keep learning and trying to increase their understanding.

Many wonderful educators have influenced my life. One of them told me, ' You don't have to be "SMART" to be successful in school; you just have to be willing to work hard'.

If students feel successful they can have "fun" and want to learn even more. They take charge of their own learning. Teachers can then facilitate the depth and breadth of their curriculum.

Parents and teachers who work together can increase the likelihood of students reaching their learning goals.
