KINDERGARTEN Notes and Reminders:  

Drop off/Pick up: If you come to drop off  your child and I am not in the room, please feel free to come in and enjoy the toys but please stay until either myself or Mrs. Keeler arrive. Please note that the end time for kindergarten is 3:20 (not 3:25 as previously posted). This is to ensure that we are dismissing at the same time as siblings, etc. who need to pick up our students. If you are unable to pick up your child at the end of school time, please call the school and let them know what arrangements have been made. Also, if you anticipate being late for pick up, please call the school to let us know. It is our policy that kindergarten students be accompanied by a parent, adult or sibling at the end of the school day. If you are changing the usual arrangements made for your child, please contact the office at 403-758-3367. Do not rely on your child to convey this information as they may become confused and relay information incorrectly. If no note or phone call is received, your child will be sent home by his/her usual mode of transportation. If no one comes to pick up your child I will call home.  If there is no answer, I will contact your emergency contact person whose name you listed with the school.  Hopefully that will cover all anticipated angles.  

Communication Log Books:  You may have noticed a duotang in your child's backpack. This is the communication folder that we will be using for the rest of the school year.  Your student will bring home his/her schoolwork and any flyers, newsletters or school information tucked into the pocket in the folder.  You then empty the folder and send back any forms that need to be signed etc. There will also be a section with paper so that you can write a note to the teacher if you have any questions, concerns or information that we need to know about that day.  The folders will be checked daily. Please ensure that this is in the backpack daily as students will be required to bring them into the classroom upon arrival.

Pictures:  Picture Retakes will be on October 26.  Follow instructions in your photo packet for retakes.  If your child was absent on picture day, they can get their picture taken on retake day.

Thursday, October 7 - Thanksgiving Stew. Please send your child's favorite vegetable to add to our stew.
