MES Principal

It’s hard to imagine that spring is here, but seeing the gophers in the fields and the Robin’s in the trees is a good indication that it has arrived. There are other signs to indicate that spring is here, but some of the most obvious at MES are students and teachers talking about field trips, track meets, pitch in day, and triathlons. These are important and fun activities that enhance and support a well-rounded education for your child at our school. As you are aware, these activities cost a lot of money and the only way we can continue to support them is by having school fees paid. Thank you to everyone who has paid their school fees and if you have forgot, please give us a call and make arrangements so your child will be able to participate in these fun extra-curricular activities.

Even though these activities are fun, we all realize there is more to school than these activities. I have a favorite quote that says, “The important thing is not so much that every child be taught, as that every child should be given the wish to learn”. At MES, this is one of our goals, to make school a fun, positive place, where our children develop the desire to become life-long learners. I encourage all of you to visit with your child about all the exciting things they are learning and how they are learning it.

May is also the time of the year when we start to consider the many dynamics that go into developing a positive learning environment in a classroom. You know your child better than us, and if you have a compelling educational reason(s) to help us place your child in a class where they can get the most out of their educational experience, please give me a call or stop by and visit with me before May 31st.

Thank you for all you do and the support you give us at MES. If you have any questions or concerns, please do not hesitate to get in touch with any of us.
